WORK WITH ME

There are two ways we can work together.

Labyrinth is my three-month transformative programme for people who are ready to change and go deeper than simply managing their symptoms.

Stepping Stone gives us a series of focused sessions to work on one clearly defined area of your life that you are ready to change now.

Both bring together Clinical Hypnotherapy, Self-Belief Coaching and the tools I’ve developed over 24 years as a therapeutic practitioner.

To find out more you can book a free Discovery Call. Discovery calls are booked in advance and take place online.

Once booked you’ll receive a short questionnaire to complete beforehand. This gives me an idea of what’s been going on, what you’d like to change and what you’re hoping to get from working together, so we can make the most of our time.

Your Discovery Call is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we can talk things through and decide whether Labyrinth or Stepping Stone feels like the right fit.

Which way of working with me is right for you?

Ask yourself what you actually need help with.

Perhaps your overthinking stops you from making decisions at work or speaking up in your relationships. Maybe anxiety, self-doubt or people-pleasing seem to follow you around regardless of the situation.

Maybe you avoid difficult conversations, procrastinate over simple tasks, constantly second-guess yourself or put everyone else’s needs before your own.

You may even understand why you do it, but knowing that hasn’t been enough to stop it happening.

Or is there one specific thing you want to tackle now?

Perhaps there’s a decision you need to make, a conversation you want to have, a promotion you want to go for, a situation at work you want to handle differently, or something you want to feel more confident doing.

If you can clearly identify one area you want to work on and what you’d like to be different, Stepping Stone is the way to work with me.

Still not completely sure? Once you’ve completed my pre-call form, I’ll have a clearer understanding of your needs and can recommend the right way for us to work together.

Why Hypnotherapy and Self-Belief Coaching?

Hypnotherapy can be incredibly powerful for helping us work with the beliefs and emotions you’ve been holding onto from the past.

We can work with grief, traumatic events, sadness, anger and old beliefs, sometimes without even needing to consciously understand exactly where they came from. By releasing what you’ve been holding onto, you can begin to feel and respond differently.

But letting go of the past is only part of the work. This is where Self-Belief Coaching comes in.

Procrastination, people-pleasing, perfectionism and constantly second-guessing yourself often have something in common: there’s an unconscious risk you’re trying to avoid.

If I say what I really think, I might be judged or rejected.
If I try, I might fail.
If I allow myself to believe this could work, I might be disappointed.
If I succeed, life might become more complicated.

Together, we can consciously explore the beliefs that are still influencing how you think, feel and behave today.

Self-Belief Coaching helps us uncover the beliefs behind your repetitive patterns and the psychological risks those patterns may have been helping you avoid. Once you understand what’s behind those patterns, we can explore those beliefs from a different perspective and begin building new ones, then anchor them in with hypnotherapy.

This is why I bring Hypnotherapy and Self-Belief Coaching together. Hypnotherapy allows us to work with some of those deeper beliefs and emotions at a subconscious level, while Self-Belief Coaching gives you the tools to consciously understand your patterns, explore your beliefs differently and develop greater belief and trust in yourself.

FAQs

Hypnosis probably feels far more familiar than you imagine.

We naturally move in and out of similar states throughout the day. You might be driving somewhere familiar and suddenly realise you don’t remember part of the journey, or become completely absorbed in a book or film and look at the clock to discover two hours have passed without you even realising it.

One of the things people often say after their first session is, “Was I actually hypnotised?” They expect hypnosis to feel much deeper or somehow completely different from their normal experience, when actually it can feel very natural.

You’ll usually feel physically relaxed and comfortable, while still being aware of what’s happening. You can hear me, speak to me, move, or even sit up if you want to. You probably just won’t want to.

As you become more familiar with hypnosis, you may find you relax more deeply and remember less of the session. Everyone experiences it slightly differently, and you don’t have to reach a particular level of hypnosis for us to work together.

Most people can experience hypnosis, but you have to be willing to engage with it.

I often say to clients, if you believe you can be hypnotised and you’re willing to allow it to happen, you probably can. If you sit there determined that I won’t be able to hypnotise you, you’re probably right too.

Hypnosis isn’t something I do to you. It’s something we do together. You don’t need to try hard, perform or somehow be “good” at hypnosis. You simply need to be willing to follow my guidance and see what happens.

And if you’re worried that you won’t be able to relax deeply enough, remember that you don’t need to feel dramatically different for hypnosis to be happening.

Yes. You are always in control.

Although you’ll usually be relaxed and listening to my voice, you can move, speak or sit up whenever you want to. If the fire alarm went off, you’d hear it and respond. If your phone rang, you could open your eyes, sit up and answer it. Although hopefully your phone will be on silent, because we don’t want it interrupting a perfectly lovely, relaxing hypnotherapy session!

At no point do I control what you’re doing. I guide you into hypnosis, but you remain aware and in control throughout.

No, you can’t get stuck in hypnosis. In the same way that you can’t get stuck in sleep or a daydream, hypnosis is a state that you naturally come out of.

At the end of the session, I’ll guide you back to full awareness. And just as we’ve talked about above, if something needed your attention during the session, you would simply respond to it.

Sometimes the bigger problem is that clients don’t want to come out of the nice relaxing feeling that is hypnosis! You’ve been lying on the couch warm and comfortable, feeling deeply relaxed, and suddenly I’m asking you to come back because you’ve got to go back to work, pick up the kids or get on with the rest of your day.

Think of it more like waking up from a really lovely afternoon nap. You can wake up. You just might quite fancy another ten minutes.

Yes, hypnotherapy can be a very effective way of helping people make changes.

Hypnosis gives us a different way of working with some of the beliefs, emotions and automatic responses that can be difficult to shift simply by consciously telling yourself to think or behave differently.

In my 18 years as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, I’ve seen people make significant changes through hypnotherapy, sometimes surprisingly quickly. Everyone responds differently, and the work will depend on what you’ve come for help with, your experiences and what’s happening in your life now.

That’s also one of the reasons I combine hypnotherapy with Self-Belief Coaching. It gives us different ways of working with both what’s been holding you back and how you want to move forward.

Sometimes people notice changes surprisingly quickly.

I’ve had clients notice changes in their sleep, stress levels or the way they’re responding to things after their first hypnotherapy session. For others, the changes happen more gradually and may not become really noticeable until we’ve worked together for several sessions.

One of the things I value about hypnotherapy is that we don’t always need to spend session after session consciously talking through everything that has happened to you. We can work with the beliefs and emotions connected to an experience, sometimes without you needing to explain or even consciously understand every detail of where they came from.

There isn’t a set number of sessions in which change “should” happen. Everyone responds differently, which is why the way I work is shaped around you rather than expecting everybody to follow exactly the same timetable.

Absolutely. Both Labyrinth and Stepping Stone can be completed entirely online, so you don’t need to live locally to work with me.

If you’re local to Wokingham, we’ll use a combination of online and in-person sessions. Your initial Foundation Session and final follow-up will take place online, with the main therapeutic sessions taking place with me at The Haven.

This gives us the benefits of working together face-to-face while keeping the Foundation Session and follow-up session focused and convenient.

Before the call, I’ll send you a pre-call form with questions about what you’d like help with and what you’d like to be different. That means when we talk, I already have an understanding of what’s brought you to me and we can use our time properly.

During the free call, which lasts up to 30 minutes, we’ll talk a little more about what’s happening in your life, and what’s led you to connect with me. I’ll explain how I work and you’ll have the opportunity to ask me any questions. I’ll also recommend whether Labyrinth or Stepping Stone is the most appropriate way for us to work together.

If we both feel we’re a good fit, I’ll explain what happens next and you can decide when you’d like to book.

Happy Clients

Everyone comes to me for different reasons, and their experience of working with me will be different too. You can read more about my clients’ experiences on my Happy Clients page, or read my independently published reviews on Google.

Therapies

Alongside my hypnotherapy and self-belief coaching offering, I also provide Angelic Reiki and Past Life Regression sessions.

You know something needs to change.

Now you’ve found the person who can help you.

You don’t need to know exactly what that change looks like, or which way of working is right for you. That’s what the discovery call is for. We’ll talk about what’s going on, what you’d like to change and whether working together feels right for you.

If you’re ready to understand what’s been holding you back and discover what’s possible when it no longer does, let’s talk.
